Food Journal is a personal food log at food-journal.helex.io. It keeps what you eat, what you burn and the difference, and nothing beyond what that needs. It shows no ads, sells nothing, and shares your data only with the services below that run it.

What it stores

• Your account: your email address, used to send sign-in codes, and your timezone.
• Sign-in sessions: a session cookie, and with each session the IP address and browser it came from.
• Your log: what you or Claude log, exactly as written, the entries made from it, their nutrient estimates, notes, and burn you enter by hand.
• WHOOP, if you connect it: your WHOOP user id, and for each physiological cycle its start, end, timezone offset, score state, strain, energy burned and heart rate. The access tokens WHOOP issues are stored encrypted. Food Journal asks only for cycles (read:cycles) and for staying connected (offline); it doesn't read your sleep, recovery, workouts or profile.
• Claude, if you connect it: the connector's registration, the access you granted it, and which connector logged each entry.

Who handles it

• Cloudflare hosts the app and its database, and keeps request logs, with query strings removed, to diagnose problems.
• Resend delivers sign-in codes to your email address.
• WHOOP sends your cycles when you connect it, and notifies the app when your data changes so it can sync.
• Anthropic receives what Claude reads from or writes to your journal when you use the connector, under Anthropic's own terms.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in, and another, lasting ten minutes, checks that a WHOOP connection finishes in the browser that started it. There are no analytics or tracking cookies.

Your choices

• Disconnect WHOOP from Settings at any time. That revokes Food Journal's access at WHOOP and deletes its tokens; cycles and burn already synced stay in your journal.
• Remove the Claude connector from Claude's settings at any time.
• Ask to have your account deleted, and everything in it is deleted with it.
